The conductor guide guides the risers from the sea bed to above the water level in the jacket construction.
Conductor guides are steel cylinders with conical ends that are mounted on an offshore platform. With the help of oxy fuel or plasma, cut-outs are cut from steel plates. These are readily equipped with bevel preparation. The results are rolled with a three or four roller machines. The longitudinal seams are welded and the cylinder and cones are returned to the machine for calibration. The conductor guide is then assembled by welding the round seams of the cylinder and the cones. This welding is done by Kersten according TIG, MIG/MAG or submerged arc (Single or Twin) welding processes.
If desired the conductor guide can be produced ready to install, equipped with a 3D cut stub.
